Hello, Booknerds!!! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly post hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Favorite Book Quotes. I actually keep journals filled with favorite quotes, some from books some from different people, and I really enjoyed going through and reading some to write this post. Some of these I have memorized because I’ve read them over and over again. The hardest part was deciding which ten to go with and then forcing myself to only include one from Harry Potter :) So, in no particular order, here are some of my favorite book quotes. “Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling “My equal in every way; she would wear my crown, sit on a throne beside mine. Never sidelined, never designated to breeding and parties and child rearing. My queen.” A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas “To really be a nerd, she'd decided, you had to prefer fictional worlds to the real one.” Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell “Even the strongest blizzards start with a single snowflake.” Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch “Libraries are full of ideas – perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.” Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas “I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.” Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë “I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of any thing than of a book! -- When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.” Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen “I don’t see books. I see doors into other worlds. Windows into minds. The life of man spinning beyond time.” Park Service by Ryan Winfield “Life is a book and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read.” Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare “I went away in my head, into a book. That was where I went whenever read life was too hard or too inflexible” The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman How do you keep track of quotes that capture your attention; do you keep a journal, highlight in the book? Can’t wait to see what quotes made your list so make sure to leave me a link to your post. I leave you with a fun song all about words from The Phantom Tollbooth! Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!
